DODILog regions and ports are key production and export centers for potatoes and cereals, staple foods in Northwestern Europe. However, these sensitive products, especially organic ones, are easily susceptible to rot (due to heat, humidity, mechanical stress, unbalanced gas levels, sprouting) or diseases and pathogens (fungi, parasites). DODILog brings together transnational multidisciplinary practice-oriented companies along the northern France-Belgium-Netherland-Germany routings (NWE upper part of the Atlantic&North Sea-Mediterranean TENT-T corridors), whose expertise will enable operators storing these vulnerable goods to test new techniques, processes, and tools to extend their post-harvest shelf life.
