MULTIGAS ELECTRONIC NOSE (e-Nose) AND HIGH SENSITIVITY NIRS SENSOR FOR DEGRADATION EARLY DETECTION. The e-Nose, used e.g. for fish, will be tested with different samples (cereals+ potatoes) by Multitel under different conditions of humidity and temperature (T°) to monitor the crops´ quality during storage and transport.

The selected commercial electrochemical high quality and non-toxic gas sensors, aimed at establishing a gas detection reference for the DODILOG's use cases, will detect and measure levels of H2S (hydrogen sulfide), NO (Nitric oxide), CO (Carbon monoxide) and VoC (Volatile organic compounds).


Assembly will be followed by calibration tests in lab and on field in Arvalis´s experimental centre of Villers Saint Christophe. The linked Hydrogen sulfide gas sensor based on NIR photoacoustic spectroscopy will reach the sub-ppm H2S concentration, enabling an earlier detection of quality degradation. 

The system will be developed assembling off-the-shelf sensors. After validation, comparison tests H2S sensore-Nose will be made.
