Vievs at CleanTech Expo

On 23 and 24 September 2026, the Hydrogen and Green Environment research groups presented their general work and the DODILOG project at CleanTech Xpo 2026, welcoming both industry professionals and the general public to discover the technologies being developed.

DODIlog focuses not only on potatoes and grains quality preservation. It also envisions how discarded products from crops can be utilised in secondary processes, including bio-fuel, thus giving a new life to agri-food loss.

The innovative methanol reactor realised by Vives attracted considerable attention at the event. This experimental setup provides a clear visual demonstration of the conversion of CO₂ and hydrogen into methanol, a valuable chemical that can also be used as a green fuel. The conversion process has already been demonstrated at industrial scale and, within the DODILOG project, it could offer an interesting route for not just converting CO2 into methanol, but upgrading biogas while producing green methanol as a valuable byproduct.

The DODILOG roll-up also proved effective in attracting visitors and starting conversations, particularly with people already active in the biogas sector. These discussions provided an opportunity to explain the project’s objectives, potential applications, and the technology being developed, while also establishing new contacts for future collaboration.

The strong interest throughout CleanTech Xpo 2026 Kortrijk provided a valuable opportunity to represent the project, communicate its potential, and engage directly with relevant stakeholders from the sector.
