Are you a grain (wheat/barley) storage operator? Would you be willing to have the DODILog partner test NEAR INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY (NIRS) FOR INSECT EARLY DETECTION to improve the recognition and management of infested batches in your silos/warehouse?
The DODILog projet is launching a Voucher call to let you experiment the use of NIRS technology though Polytec´s Advanced NIR Process Spectrometer system.
TYPE OF BENEFIT TO BE RECEIVED BY BIDDER:
- temporary free-of-charge “lease” and on-site availability of Polytec´s Advanced NIR Process Spectrometer system which includes: spectrometer named PAS, PAS Software, sensor head, optical fibers, a terminal box connected to a computer, a multiplexer)
- free-of-charge “lease” period: 5 days for on-site NIRS insect detection´s trials
- value of DODILog Voucher granted: €22.000 in aid (in the form of free-of-charge “lease” period)
Voucher Application requests:
- max 2 Application requests from 2 separate Voucher bidders
Via the DODILog Voucher scheme the NIRS tests with the abovementioned equipment will be carried out by the DODILog partners Polytec and Arvalis with the support of the awarded bidders in 2 steps:
- On a conveyor belt,
- On a grain descent column during sampling.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR VOUCHER BIDDERS:
- Being a grain (wheat and/or barley) silos and/or warehouse owner/manager
- Being located in North West Europe (NWE), preferably within or close to a port area
- Meeting the technical requirements as per Annex “DODILog project - conditions for carrying out tests in a real environment with PSS Polytec” concerning the possibility to integrate Polytec equipment into the bidder´s existing facility and receiving wheat/barley
- Knowledge of the Interreg NWE languages (French or German or Dutch) and English
VOUCHER SCHEME SCHEDULE
- Call published 8th July 2026
- Submission of replies by 31st July 2026
- Selection and award of Voucher winner by 31st August 2026
- Transport of Polytec material September 2026 (date to be agreed)
- 5 days of testing October 2026
- Test evaluation November-December 2026
