DODILog spotlighted at the Wesertag 2026

On the 3rd June in Hamel, Germany, DODilog took the centre stage at the Wesertag 2026 as part of the day programme on innovation and cooperation projects. Presented by Wirtschaftsweserband Weser e.V, the event was a valuable platform to showcase the transnational initiative to a professional audience of over 40 representatives from business, logistics, public administration, policy makers and associations.

The DODILog partner did a great job at transferring lessons from a European experience into a regional practice. The project was highlighted not as an isolated case, but as a wider contribution to enhance the (regional) agricultural sector with related supply chain and food logistics via innovative solutions and cross-sector collaboration.

During the debate, the relevance of quality preservation in the storage and handling of wheat/cereals and potatoes and the role of digital tools, sensor systems and data-based monitoring to reduce losses and quality risks were emphasised.  The discussions also focused on other pertaining issues, such as the need to effectively transition from research and piloting to operational implementation; the importance of knowledge sharing and the need to communicate results in a way that is understandable for non-expert stakeholders.
